Privacy

What we do with your information.

Short version: we collect what you type into our form, we share it with lenders so they can quote you, and we don't sell it to anyone.

Who this covers

This policy covers Trueballast Financial(“we,” “us”) and this website, trueballastfinancial.com. It explains what we collect from you, why, and what control you have over it.

What we collect

  • What you tell us.Your name, business name, email address, phone number, state, industry, time in business, revenue range, the amount you're looking for, and anything you write in the notes field.
  • What you send us later. If you move forward, we'll ask for bank statements and identification. You send those to us directly rather than through this website, and this policy covers them too.
  • Basic technical data. Standard web server and analytics information such as approximate location, browser type, referring page, and which pages you viewed.

Our website form deliberately does not ask for your Social Security number, tax ID, or bank logins, and nothing you submit through it is stored in a database on this site. It is emailed to us and lives in our inbox.

Why we collect it

  • To evaluate whether we can help and respond to your request
  • To submit your file to third-party lenders so they can consider funding you
  • To contact you about your request by phone, text, or email
  • To meet our legal, recordkeeping, and anti-fraud obligations

Who we share it with

Lenders. This is the main one, and it's the entire point of using a broker: to get you quoted, we pass your information to the third-party lenders we think are the right fit. Once a lender has your information, that lender's own privacy policy governs what they do with it. We share with lenders we believe are a genuine fit, rather than with every lender who will take a file.

Service providers. Companies that run this site and our email, under agreements that limit them to providing that service.

When the law requires it.In response to lawful requests, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with unrelated marketing companies or lead brokers.

Credit checks

Applying through this website does not by itself trigger a credit check. If you move forward, you may be asked to authorize a credit inquiry as part of a lender's underwriting. You'll be told before that happens, and you'll be the one authorizing it.

Phone calls and texts

If you check the consent box on our application, we and the lenders we work with may contact you at the number you gave us, including by automated dialing, prerecorded message, and SMS. Consent is not a condition of getting funded. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts, or just tell us and we'll stop.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as we're working with you and afterward as needed for recordkeeping and legal obligations. If you ask us to delete it and we're not required to retain it, we will.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including keeping sensitive documents off this website entirely. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't promise absolute security. Please don't email us Social Security numbers or account numbers. Ask us for a secure way to send them.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or tell us to stop contacting you. Email contact@trueballastfinancial.com or call (651) 788-2593and a person will handle it. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under state privacy law; tell us and we'll honor them.

Children

This is a business financing website. It isn't directed to anyone under 18 and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
