Disclosures

The fine print, unfined.

Everything on this page is something the industry usually buries. We'd rather you read it before you talk to us than after.

We are a broker, not a lender

Trueballast Financial is a loan brokerage. We arrange business-purpose financing through third-party lenders. We do not lend money, we do not make credit decisions, and we do not fund loans.Every approval, rate, amount, and term comes from the funding lender and is subject to that lender's own underwriting and approval.

We are not a bank. We are not a credit union. Deposits and accounts are not products we offer, and nothing we arrange is insured by the FDIC or NCUA.

Nothing here is an offer of credit

The application on this website is a pre-qualification request. Submitting it does not create an application for credit, does not obligate any lender to extend financing, and does not obligate you to accept anything. No offer exists until a lender puts one in writing and you sign it.

How we're paid

We charge you nothing to apply, to be matched, or to find out whether we can help. When a deal funds, the lender pays us a commission. Any commission or broker compensation associated with your transaction will be disclosed in the funding paperwork before you sign, and you can ask us about it directly at any point.

Business purpose only

Everything we arrange is for business or commercial purposes only. None of it is for personal, family, or household use. We do not broker mortgages, home equity products, auto loans, student loans, or any form of consumer credit. Because these are commercial transactions, most consumer lending protections, including the federal Truth in Lending Act, do not apply to them.

We do not quote rates

Trueballast Financial does not set, quote, or quote-on-behalf-of any rate, fee, or term. We are a broker. Pricing comes from the lender who funds you, in writing, and only that written offer is binding on anyone.

Any figure on this website is illustrative, not an offer. That includes the $10K$20M funding range, the 24–48 hours funding window, and any example arithmetic used to explain how this kind of financing is priced. Your actual amount, cost, term, and timing depend on your business and on your lender.

Working capital and cash advances are commonly priced using a factor rate rather than an interest rate. A factor rate is not an annual percentage rate, and it typically converts to a substantially higher APR-equivalent than the factor number appears to suggest. Cost is generally fixed at signing, which means early repayment usually does not reduce it. We explain this because business owners are often not told it, not because we are quoting you anything.

Where we can work

We place financing nationwide with the exception of California. Availability of any specific product also depends on the lender, and some lenders restrict additional states or industries. If you're in a state we can't serve, we'll tell you rather than string you along.

No guarantee of funding

We cannot and do not guarantee that you will be approved, that you will receive any particular amount, or that funding will arrive within any particular timeframe. Anyone in this industry who promises you otherwise before seeing your file is not being straight with you.

Phone and text contact

If you give us your phone number and check the consent box on our application, you agree that we and the lenders we work with may contact you at that number, including by automated dialing, prerecorded message, and SMS. Consent is not a condition of receiving financing. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or tell us directly and we'll stop.
